I’m Si Si, a Texas-born and Brooklyn-based independent filmmaker. As an unapologetic multihyphenate, I am determined to revolutionize the film industry by telling stories ignite a sense of community building and collective liberation. It is my goal to provide my experience in production and project management to lift up stories written, designed, performed, and all-around created by Black and Brown folks. Not only stories of trauma and strife, but stories of love, magic, and dragons. It is my mission to ensure that when a little Black child turns on their television, they can see themselves in any role whether it be fact or fiction. I want artistic spaces to be equipped with cultural competency, empathy, and sensitivity from the very first creative team meeting. I want to decolonize and reconfigure every rule and regulation set by any previous abusive producer and executive and build a new system on the foundation of caring for one another.
